We are currently in the midst of a major change in what people eat and in the way they eat because traditional eating has been related to positive health outcomes and sustainability.
To celebrate this sentiment and keep our traditional way of cooking alive, our artisanal Jaggery coated banana chips are handmade using jaggery and wood-pressed coconut oil. All the ingredients are ethically sourced from local farmers in Palakkad, Kerala.
The raw Nendran bananas are skinned and sliced and then deep-fried in a traditional chulha. Thereafter they are coated with jaggery mixed with a dash of dry ginger. Traditionally, coconut oil is used for deep-frying the chips, which will give a pleasant aroma while eating and also makes them a healthier option to eat.
Handmade in small batches, our chips have no preservatives, no artificial flavour or color added.
Enjoy them with a cup of steaming chai or coffee or just by themselves.
